Ridgemont Early Childhood Center participates in National Night Out
Ridgemont Early Childhood Center hosted a National Night Out event in October at the Ridgemont Community Association Clubhouse, 5353 Ridgecreek Circle in Houston.
More than 450 participants were present, including Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker and Congressman Al Green. Attendees were provided with information on the resources that the Ridgemont Early Childhood Center and Ridgemont Community Association have to offer.
Flu shots were provided by Walgreens representatives for families in attendance and local law enforcement agencies provided child identification fingerprinting kits. The event also featured music, dancing, free snacks and a kids' moonwalk.
The National Night Out event was held with the help of Ridgemont Community Association volunteers and was the first joint effort between the school and community groups.
