Fort Bend ISD board approves superintendent search firm agreement

At its meeting on Monday, Oct. 22, the Fort Bend Independent School District school board approved an agreement with Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to provide superintendent search firm services.

The chosen firm has been working with school boards for more than 20 years and has assisted more than 800 districts with executive search services, according to a press release.

The school board committee met in early October to score and rank proposals submitted by several search services. The top three firms were interviewed on Monday, Oct. 15 and included Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates; Ray and Associates, Inc.; and School Executive Consulting, Inc.

Michael McKie has been serving as the district's acting superintendent since August, previously serving as the district's assistant superintendent.
