TelfairLife Charity of Choice Walk donates to Fort Bend charities

The fifth annual TelfairLife Charity of Your Choice Walk, held Saturday, Oct. 13, raised $76,474 to benefit 13 Fort Bend charities.

The fifth annual TelfairLife Charity of Your Choice Walk, held Saturday, Oct. 13, raised $76,474 to benefit 13 Fort Bend charities.

Most of the proceeds came from registration fees paid by the walkers, who were able to choose the charity that received 100 percent of their fee. TelfairLife, a nonprofit community service organization serving Telfair and the surrounding Fort Bend area, provided $6,000 in challenge grants.

"Since the TelfairLife Charity of Your Choice Walk began, we have set new records each and every year thanks to the energy and generosity of the Fort Bend community," said Nicki Raimundo, TelfairLife walk director, in a press release. "The more this annual event succeeds, the more Fort Bend benefits, and that is very exciting."

TelfairLife Charity of Choice Walk is at 121 Telfair Central Blvd., Sugar Land.
