LCESA holding baked goods fundraiser
Reading Junior High's Stephany Davis and George Junior High's Veronica Chavarria are among the many members of LCESA that are ready to sell you a Butter Braid.
The Lamar Consolidated Educational Secretaries Association is holding a Butter Braid fundraiser through Saturday, Nov. 1.
The sale of Butter Braids will raise funds for scholarships and other programs that benefit the students and staff at Lamar CISD. LCESA will offer four $500 scholarships to deserving LCISD students this school year.
"LCESA is proud of our contributions to the community and scholarships we provide," Cheryl McGill, LCESA president and school secretary at Wertheimer Middle School, said, according to a press release. "The annual Butter Braid fundraiser helps support our budget so that we are able to do these things."
Orders will be taken from any LCESA member. The ready-to-bake Butter Braids will be delivered before the Thanksgiving break.
