Fort Bend ISD holds Care 2 Chat Community Connect Conference
Fort Bend ISD held its annual Care 2 Chat Community Connect Conference Sept. 29 at the University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing.
More than 300 local parents and community members attended the conference, which featured approximately 30 informational sessions on a variety of topics. The sessions focused on academics, parenting, college readiness, health and wellness and personal growth.
The conference was presented by the Fort Bend ISD's Volunteers and Partnerships Office, Title I Office and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. This marks the first year that Fort Bend ISD has partnered with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land and the University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing to organize the event.
The conference also included more than 50 vendor booths.
"This year's conference gave our parents the opportunity to enjoy a more diverse conference experience through the various sessions and vendor booths provided," FBISD Volunteers/Partnerships Coordinator Pamela Shaw said, according to a press release.
