B.F. Terry High School student receives national recognition
Toluwase Soda, a B.F. Terry High School student and Rosenberg resident, received the National Achievement Scholarship Program Certificate on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The program honors academically promising Black American high school students.
Soda is a drum major for the Ranger Band. She is vice president of National Honor Society, president of the student council, a member of the swim team and the Girl Scouts. After graduation, she plans on attending Rice University to pursue classes in pre-med.
Vera Wehring, principal of B.F. Terry, presented the award.
