Sugar Land's Mira Sankhavaram earns Silver Award
Mira Sankhavaram, Girl Scout Troop 724, has earned the Silver Award.
Sankhavaram performed different Indian classical Bharatanatyam dances in the Sugar Land Atria over the course of five weeks. She has worked a total of 50 hours for this award.
The Sugar Land resident received the honor Wednesday, Oct. 3 from the of the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto.
Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest achievement a Girl Scout can receive.
Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is the second largest in the country. It is serving more than 70,000 girls and 19,000 adults in 26 southeast Texas counties.
