Lexington Creek Elementary School honored staff members with its first Custodial/Cafeteria Staff Excellence Day Sept. 12.
The event was held to recognize school employees who provide students and staff with an attractive and safe school environment, according to a press release.
The observance was initiated by the school's Parent-Teacher Organization and administrators. Special thanks was given to staff members who helped prepare Lexington Creek for the beginning of the school year.
"We appreciate what our LCE custodial and cafeteria staff does each day," PTO Hospitality Committee Chairman Bailey Wallace said in the press release. "They take care of the environmental needs of 600 students on a daily basis and assist in preparing our facility for classroom activities and campus events."
Lexington Creek Elementary is part of the Fort Bend Independent School District and is located at 2335 Dulles Ave., Missouri City.
