Reward offered for information on jewelry store robbery
The Fort Bend County County Crime Stoppers has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in a jewelry store aggravated robbery Sept. 8 in the Richmond area.
According to a police report, deputies of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office were called at 12:25 p.m. to the Zales Jewelry Store, located in the 5500 block of State Highway 99 at the Grand Parkway.
When the deputies arrived at the scene, store personnel reported that three suspects had entered the store shortly after noon. All three wore dark hoodies and pants and had their faces covered with black ski masks. One of the individuals carried a dark handgun. The suspect with the gun ordered personnel to get on the floor, according to the report.
The other two suspects, all believed to be male, used a hammer and claw-like tool to open the backs of display cases and raked jewelry into trash bags.
According to the witnesses, the suspects then left the store and got into a gold-colored Chrysler 300.
No personnel were injured in the incident.
