Sugar Land Police Department Beat 5 blotter, Aug. 27

The Sugar Land Police Department reported the following incidents between the early hours of Aug. 24 and Aug. 27 in Beat 5:   DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED Aug. 25, 2:39 a.m.: Police arrested a suspect on a charge of driving while intoxicated in the intersection of Southwest Freeway and University Boulevard.    Aug. 26, 3:14 a.m.: Police arrested a suspect on a charge of driving while intoxicated in the intersection of U.S. 59 and University Boulevard.    DRUGS Aug. 26, 4:41 p.m.: Police arrested a suspect on a drug charge during a traffic stop in the 18500 block of U.S. 59 North.    THEFT Aug. 24, 9:52 p.m.: An unknown suspect reportedly stole items from the 700 block of Bonaventure Way.
