Billy Stritch to perform at First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will host a performance by singer-pianist Billy Stritch at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 in its church sanctuary, located at 3900 Lexington Blvd.   Stritch's performance is the opening date in a new concert series from the Friends of the Arts committee and First United Methodist, according to a press release. It is free and open to the public.   A frequent collaborator with Liza Minnelli, Stritch arranged the music for her Broadway show "Liza's at the Palace," which won the 2009 Tony Award for best theatrical event.   For more information, call 281-499-3502 or email friendsofthearts@comcast.net.
