Annual RDC Rosenberg Business Appreciation Reception draws more than 200

For the third consecutive year, area businesses were honored during a reception hosted by the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance and the Rosenberg Development Corporation.

This year's event drew more than 200 representatives from local businesses to the Rosenberg Civic Center, according to a press release. It was hosted to show appreciation to Rosenberg businesses, provide owners with resources to grow their business and answer questions for new business owners about how to start a new business.

Local exhibitors included American Red Cross, CFBCA, CFBCA Hispanic Business Division, CFBCA Young Professionals Division, Conrad N. Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Downtown Merchants of Rosenberg, Fort Bend County Womens Center/Pennywise Resale Center, Fort Bend Herald, Imperial Performing Arts, Rosenberg Civic Center, Rosenberg Development Corporation, Rosenberg Fire Department, Rosenberg Parks and Recreation Department, Rosenberg Planning Department, Rosenberg Police Department, Texana Center, Texas State Technical College, University of Houston's Fort Bend County Small Business Development Center, University of Houston Manufacturing Assistance Center, West Fort Bend Management District, Wharton County Junior College and Workforce Solutions.

Entertainment during the event was provided by Vicki and Rodney Merwin with a special on-site art demonstration by local artist Robyn Miller.

The RDC was created in 1995 through public referendum to promote or develop new or expanding business, create jobs and improve the quality of life in the community.
