Volunteers needed for 21st Annual CASA Christmas Home Tour
Jim McClellan of Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation, Child Advocates of Fort Bend Events Specialist Lisa Moore and Development Coordinator Alyson Tomasello are part of the CASA Christmas Home Tour.
Volunteers are needed to help plan, coordinate and set up the 21st annual CASA Christmas Home Tour Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.
The holiday home tour benefits the Child Advocates of Fort Bend and its Court Appointed Special Advocates and Children's Advocacy Center. The Fred and Mabel Parks Foundation are the main sponsors of the event.
More than 1,500 volunteers are needed for decorating, ticket sales and working two-hour shifts as hosts, according to a press release. The CASA Christmas Home Tour is held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 with a candlelight tour from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 7. Last year's tour was viewed by 2,000 people, according to the release.
To volunteer, contact Lisa Moore at 281-344-5108 or lmoore@cafb.org.
The CASA program is staffed by volunteers who advocate for the care of children that are in custody of the welfare system in Fort Bend County. According to the Child Advocates of Ford Bend's website, it serves 250 children annually with 50 to 70 new children each year.
The Child Advocates of Fort Bend's offices are located at 5403 Avenue N, Rosenberg.
