Fort Bend Chamber hosts State of the Schools Luncheon and State of Higher Education
The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce's Education Division will host the fifth annual State of the Schools Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square.
This luncheon will be attended by Dr. Lance Hindt, superintendent of schools from Stafford Municipal School District, and Dr. Thomas Randle, Lamar Consolidated School District and the Fort Bend ISD interim superintendent.
These administrative leaders will discuss issues of public education in 2012 and share successes.
The Education Division will hold the inaugural State of Higher Education from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square.
This meeting will feature Dr. Fena Garza, the president of Houston Community College Southwest, Dick Phillips, the vice chancellor of the University of Houston Sugar Land, and Betty A. McCrohan, the president of Wharton County Junior College.
Attendees of this meeting will address the regional partnership, challenges and accomplishments of the three schools.
Sugar Land Marriott Town Square is located at 16090 City Walk in Sugar Land.
