SLPOA awards $1,000 college scholarships to local students

The Sugar Land Police Officers Association awarded four area seniors $1,000 scholarships.
Recipients were Sandra Coker of Dulles High School, Anna Wilkinson of Clements High Schools, Landon Murray of Fort Bend Christian Academy and Jill Palmer of Kempner High School. The scholarships were given after the fourth annual SLPOA Golf Classic, held Monday, June 25 at the Sweetwater Country Club, located at 4400 Palm Royale in Sugar Land.
"We received several applications for the scholarships, and we're proud to be able to assist these young people in their further education," said SLPOA Scholarship Committee Chair Lauren Stockholm in a press release.
The scholarships are awarded annually to four seniors, one from each of the Sugar Land high schools.
