Wessendorff Middle School names new principal

Margaret Patton

Wessendorff Middle School has a new principal.

Margaret Patton was named by The Lamar CISD Board of Trustees to the position after filling the same role at Missouri City Middle School and Barbara Jordan Elementary School in Fort Bend ISD.

She taught special education, business and computer literacy, and was an assistant principal in Louisiana. She was also a special education teacher in Fort Bend ISD before becoming a principal.

Patton has a bachelor's degree in business education and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She also earned a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Prairie View A&M University.

Wessendorff Middle School is at 5201 Mustang Ave. in Rosenberg.
