Prior to that, he was a construction project manager at Pueblo Contracting and Aszkenazy Development Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as an assistant project manager at The Olson Company and at Pepperdine Graduate Housing. He also worked as a project engineer at Turner Construction.
He has a B.S. in construction management from California Polytechnic State University and is currently working on his master's degree in construction management at the University of Houston. He also attended California Polytechnic State University-Pomona.
