The estate of Ernestine B. Franklin has listed for sale a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 9218 S. Fitzgerald Way in Missouri City for $299,000.
Franklin acquired the home in April 2008. The 3,307-square-foot house was built in 1999 in Sienna Plantation. It is located in the Sienna Steep Bank Village subdivision. Cheryl Combs of Keller Williams Realty is the listing agent.
Franklin taught kindergarten and first grade and served as a school counselor at Fermi Elementary School until she retired. She previously taught for the Chicago Public Schools at Shakespeare, Bousfield and Dett Elementary Schools.
She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Wilberforce University and her master's degree in counseling from Governors State University.
She passed away on July 15.
