Fort Bend County Womens Center honors volunteers
The Fort Bend County Women’s Center recently hosted a special volunteer reception to recognize volunteer contributions in 2011.
Volunteer coordinators Patty Holt and Amber Paaso organized the annual event, which highlights the important role that volunteers play in the center’s day-to-day operations.
“Volunteers touch almost every aspect of what we do,” said Holt, in a press release. “The list is endless and I don’t know how we would function without them. They are at the heart and soul of the women’s center.”
Vita Goodell, the center’s executive director, presented the awards.
Honorees included Judy Price, Noel Mascarenhas, Patricia Hall, Paulette Smith, Beth Laughlin, Elsie Schade, Kellie Crawford, Lizzie Dragon, Nancy Colmenares, Nancy Piazza, Jacklyn Tatge, Elizabeth Alexander, Erica Noyes, Beverly Martin, Debbie Maynard and Vivian McDowell.
Mary Kay Turner was named overall volunteer of the year.
