Impact Player Partners presents 8th annual Impact A Hero Hall of Fame gala dinner
The Impact Player Partners presented its eighth annual Impact A Hero Hall of Fame gala dinner on June 3 at the Sugar Land Marriott Hotel.
The gala benefits wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, and this year's event honored more than 50 wounded personnel. The weekend set a new gala record of more than $910,000 in donations, sponsorships and participation.
Impact Player Partners is a nonpartisan 501(c) organization that provides emotional and financial support for severely wounded veterans injured in post-9/11 combat and their families.
The night's master of ceremonies was KPRC Sports Director Randy McIlvoy.
Hall of Fame inductees included Army Staff Sgt. Johnathan S. Rose, Army Specialist Kevin Kammerdiener, Army Specialist Brandon Abbott Meyer (KIA 1/28/08), Army Sgt. Joel Tavera, Martin Resource Management Corp.
