Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation kicks off 10th anniversary
The Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation kicked off its 10th anniversary with a VIP reception on June 7 at Chef Rey's restaurant.
About 50 people attended the event, which marked the beginning of this year's celebration.
"The reception was well attended and, I believe, successful,” said Don Smith, the foundation’s chairman and founder. “We had an opportunity to broadcast the upcoming events and encourage Missouri City stakeholders, Juneteenth sponsors and all other attendees to participate and get involved in the upcoming events."
