Center for Coronary Artery Anomalies/Fort Bend ISD to offer free MRIs for students
The Center for Coronary Artery Anomalies at the Texas Heart Institute has partnered with Fort Bend Independent School District to offer free MRI heart screenings for middle school students.
Aimed at prevention, the MRIs can help to identify children with undetected heart conditions that could lead to sudden cardiac death.
The center is doing research on the prevention of sudden cardiac death in young people.
Students in fifth through eighth grade in Fort Bend ISD schools are eligible, whether or not they participate in sports.
To make an appointment, call 713-218-2112.
