Valedictorians named for the Lamar CISD
The three high schools in the Lamar CISD have announced the valedictorians for the graduating classes of 2012.
The top scholars honored this year are Samantha Chapa from Terry High School, Alexandra Thom from Lamar High School and Stephanie Tsai at Foster High School.
Samantha Chapa is the daughter of Jesse and Maria Elena Chapa. She finishes her high school career with a GPA of 110.2439. She plans to attend Rice University and major in mechanical engineering. Her goal is to create her own engineering firm in Houston.
Alexandra Thom is the daughter of David and Vicki Thom and graduates with a GPA of 109.6833. She also plans to attend Rice University and has not chosen a major. She seeks a career that she can find meaningful and joyful.
Stephanie Tsai is the daughter of Kai and Annabelle Tsai and ends high school with a GPA of 116.5393. She will attend Princeton University and major in molecular biology, chemistry and musical performance. She also plans to go to medical school to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
