Fort Bend man sued after fatal shooting

Family members are suing over claims a Fort Bend man accidently shot and killed a loved one.

Juana Fuentes and others, on behalf of the deceased Mario Fuentes, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Friday, May 11 in the Harris County District Court against Jose and Emelia Arango and Anselmo Rodriguez, of the Fort Bend Houston area.

Fuentes says on May 29, 2011, Rodriguez shot and killed Mario Fuentes, 48, while the two were on property owned by the Arangos. The shooting occurred because Rodriguez allegedly failed to operate the gun safely, according to the brief.

Fuentes is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Pasadena attorney Enrique Dovalina.
