The Fort Bend Association of Parents for Academic Excellence to present parent seminar
The Fort Bend Association of Parents for Academic Excellence will present a parent seminar called, "How Do You Feel?" at 6:30 p.m. April 19 at Lexington Creek Elementary School, 2335 Dulles Ave., Missouri City.
The seminar will be presented by Dr. Richard Olenchak, professor and director of the University of Houston Urban Talent Research Institute. It is designed to help parents understand why feelings matter for gifted and talented youth and what parents should know and do to address those feelings.
The event will begin with a social gathering at 6:30 p.m., at which snacks will be served. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a brief Q-and-A session at 8 p.m.
