Hope for Three announces upcoming events

Hope for Three will put on several fundraising and other events, starting Sunday, March 25.

A sponsor party will be held from 6-11 p.m. at Sweetwater Country Club, 4400 Palm Royale Blvd. in Sugar Land, for the Golf for Great Houston Charity Golf Tournament that will be held the next day. There will be a live and silent auction and a raffle during the party. The Fluor Daniel-sponsored golf tournament will start with a lunch at 10:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at noon and an awards banquet at 5 p.m.

As part of Autism Awareness Month, each of the Fort Bend County mayors will issue proclamations in support of the effort to raise awareness of Hope for Three's educational campaign. The proclamations will be signed by city councils in March or April. Autism puzzle piece pins and wristbands will also be distributed to city staff members.

Brookstreet Bar-B-Que Sugar Land and MIssouri City locations will be donating 10 percent of all dine-in sales on Mondays in April to Hope for Three. Awareness bands and educational literature will be handed out through the Giving Spirits concert held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. April 6.

A car wash is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 15 at Chase Bank, 4997 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, as part of Hope for Three’s "It’s Cool to Care" campaign. Clements High School students and Chase bank volunteered for the Car Wash for Kids.

Hope for Three’s events continue on April 25 when Rosenberg Mayor Vincent Morales unveils the charity’s Path of Hope and reads the city’s support proclamation during an exclusive ribbon-cutting ceremony from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Texana Children’s Center for Autism in Rosenberg.

The group’s second annual "Lite Lunch and Dazzling Desserts" luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30.

Hope for Three rounds out its effort in September when the group will announce the winner of its second annual "The Many Faces of Autism" photo calendar contest. The calendar will feature children who have been diagnosed on the Autism spectrum. The 2013 calendar will be on sale in October.
