First Community Bank makes checking accounts a 'free for all'
In response to ever-increasing fees at large banks, First Community Bank is now offering free checking accounts to its customers and has launched a new website where the public can vent about their big bank-related frustrations.
The new website, ihatemybigbank.com, also gives potential customers information about finding free checking in their neighborhoods.
First Community's free checking account comes with no strings attached and no hidden fees or caveats. There is no minimum deposit or monthly fee. The checking account also features a free debit card, free online banking, free online bill pay and free notary service.
The bank is part of the Allpoint network, so their customers can use an ATM free at more than 43,000 locations. It is the largest free ATM network in the world. The bank also provides three free cashiers checks per month and the first order of checks free.
