Sienna Branch Library to hold computer classes, including seminar on iPad apps

A series of free computer classes is being offered beginning in March at Fort Bend County Libraries Sienna Branch, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd. in Missouri City.

The classes begin with How to Set Up a Free Email Account, 10 a.m. March 7. The MS PowerPoint Survival Basics class for version 2007 will take place at 10 a.m. March 14 and will be repeated at 7 p.m. March 20.

The MS PowerPoint: Intermediate class is set for 10 a.m. March 21. A Ga Ga for Google Products class will take place at 10 a.m. March 22 and will teach about online Goggle tools.

The MS Word Survival Basics class for version 2007 will take place at 10 a.m. March 24. A Blogging for Beginners class is set for 10 a.m. March 28.

A class titled Apple-licious Apps and Free eBooks on Your iPad will take place at 10 a.m. March 29. Learn about the free or low-cost apps that can be downloaded to iPhones, iPads and iTouches. Categories include health, utilities, entertainment, education, news and much more. The class will also cover how to download the library’s free e-books. Bring a library card, PIN, Apple device and iTunes account information.

Classes are free. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
