Fort Bend ISD's extended day program to provide full service during spring break
All students enrolled in grades K-6 in the Fort Bend Independent School District can attend a day program from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during spring break March 12-16 provided by the district's extended day program.
Cost for the spring break program is a nonrefundable $60 for all students, but non-EDP students are required to pay an additional $40. Pay by check or money order, and register before March 8.
Participants in the program will learn all about water by studying the ecosystem, ocean, water conservation, natural and manmade disasters and even why it is important for oil companies to be responsible for cleaning up oil spills.
Students will take a field trip to two of the following venues: Armand Bayou Nature Center, Houston Maritime Museum, Moody Gardens Aquarium, Ocean Staff Off-Shore Drilling Rig Museum, Brazos Bend State Park or Texas Parks and Wildlife's Sea Center Texas. Each elementary campus will be doing something specific, and parents are encouraged to contact their child's campus to find out exactly what can be expected during the spring break program.
