HS girls basketball: Hightower defeats Elkins
Hightower defeated Elkins 46-40 in girls high school basketball action on Friday, in a District 23-5A match-up.
The win ups the Hurricanes to 26-7 overall and 9-1 in district play.
Tyler Gilbert scored 26 points in the victory.
Hightower will next host Marshall on Monday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops the Knights to 11-12 overall and 7-4 in district play.
Kaylan Sanders put up 18 points in the loss.
Elkins will next visit Bush on Monday at 7 p.m.
