Boy Scouts to distribute door hangers for donations to food pantries
Fort Bend Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will collect food for local food pantries throughout Fort Bend County on Feb. 4.
The food drive is part of the Souper Bowl of Caring, a yearly event sponsored by the Sam Houston Area Council, Houston Food Bank and the Boy Scouts.
The scouts will distribute door hangers with donation instructions to Fort Bend County residents on Saturday, Jan. 28.
On Feb. 4 residents are asked to leave their donated food in bags on their doorsteps for Scouts to collect.
The food will then be donated to local food banks, which will give the food to local residents in need.
