Athlete alumni: Men's basketball, Oregon State vs. USC
Oregon State basketball player Eric Moreland scored four points, grabbed 11 rebounds, had three steals, two blocks and two assists in a 78-59 home win over USC on Saturday.
The six-foot-10 freshman forward is a graduate of Hightower High School, where he played basketball for coach David Green from 2007 to 2010. Moreland played in the Houston all-star game in 2009 and averaged 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for the season. The Missouri City native is the son of Louis and Verlarne Moreland and hasn’t decided on a major.
