FBISD buys land from developer
"The funds to purchase land for future schools were approved by the voters in the 2007 bond," he said, adding that the bond also included funding for one more elementary school and an additional middle school. "The district's purchase of this school site fulfills a vision that began in 2006, when Telfair opened with a master plan that included this proposed high school campus in this location," said Alan Bauer, senior vice president and Houston division manager for Newland. "The site will be a beautiful environment for learning, sharing its entire western boundary with the Sugar Land park, and across Chatham from Telfair's largest lake and its waterfront parkland," he said. Since Telfair first opened in 2006, about 2,400 homes have been sold, he said.
