Jackson lives at Rosenberg Health and Rehabilitation Center, 1419 Mahlmann St. in Rosenberg, sharing a room with Angelita Luna, 74, who has marginal experience with credit cards herself. Jackson's daughter, Betty Krueger of Rosenberg, added, She took in ironing so she would have money to bowl. Unlike her mom, Betty Krueger has used a credit card often, but her approach to credit still reflects a pay-as-you-go frugality. The moves would temporarily disorient her, but "the saving grace," said Krueger, was a handmade lap quilt that was a gift from a relative. [...] Medicare and Medicaid have paid for almost all of her medical bills," said Krueger, "but boy do we go through a lot of paperwork to keep it going. Today, everything revolves around having a credit card, from securing hotel/vacation/car rentals to all kinds of online purchases, where I buy everything.
