Where are the lowest gas prices in Fort Bend this week?

The average price of gasoline for the Fort Bend County suburbs of Houston has decreased by 9 cents from last week's average, data from gasbuddy.com show.

Users of the price-tracking website have recently reported the rates at 85 gasoline stations in and around Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg and Sugar Land. Based on these rates, the average for Houston's Fort Bend County suburbs was $3.449 per gallon, as of August 12. By contrast, the area's average was slightly lower compared to Texas average at $3.497, Houston average at $3.477, and nationwide average at $3.611.

The average for the area last week was about $3.536 per gallon.

The cheapest source of gasoline was listed to have offered $3.17 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. The station that charged at this rate was CITGO located at 722 Crabb River Road near Tara Drive in Sugar Land. This CITGO station has been offering the lowest gasoline rate in the area for three consecutive weeks already.

The highest gasoline rate reported by users was $3.73 per gallon. Valero at 14440 Florence Road and Burney Road in Sugar Land was the station offering regular unleaded gasoline at this price.
