Sugar Land medical services accused of smear campaign
Mubashir Chaudhry filed a lawsuit on July 27 in the Harris County District Court against Mario Rubio and Metropolitan Surgical Assistant Services, of Sugar Land, citing libel, slander, slander per se, tortious interference with contracts, and civil conspiracy.
Chaudhry says that after he left the employ of Metropolitan Surgical, the company and his former co-worker Rubio conspired to spread lies about him, including that he is an untrustworthy thief and warning other medical organizations of working with him. According to the brief, these malicious statements have damaged Chaudhry’s reputation and finances.
Chaudhry is seeking damages, attorney’s fees, and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Eric Rhodes.
