Fort Bend chamber to host school board, city council candidate forums
The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum on Thursday, March 24 and again on Thursday, March 31.
The first candidates' forum is for the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees. All candidates are invited, and currently they include Bruce Albright, Kevin P. Daniels, Daniel Menendez, Susan Hohnbaum and Patsy Taylor.
The second candidates' forum is for the City of Sugar Land City Council candidates. All City Council candidates are invited, and currently they include Farha Ahmed, Jim Hoelker, Harish Jajoo, Amy Mitchell, Don Smithers, Bridget Yeung and Frank Yonish.
Each of the candidates will have an opportunity to discuss why they deserve the public's vote; all are welcome to attend. These candidates' forums provide an opportunity to make an informed decision regarding the elections, which will be held Saturday, May 14.
Both forums will be held at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, 445 Commerce Green Blvd. in Sugar Land, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
