Sugar Land residents embroiled in BBQ suit
A man is suing after, he says, he was injured as a result of a barbecue grill fuel tank exploding.
Woodrew Clark Jr. filed a lawsuit on Jan. 21 in the Harris County District Court against Gables Lions Head, and Sugar Land residents Maggie Balder and Donna Anderson, alleging negligence.
Clark says that on June 21, 2010, he attempted to use a barbecue grill provided by Gables at his apartment complex, the Gables Lion Head. According to the brief, Clark was seriously injured when the grill’s fuel tank exploded, causing him to be severely burned on his face, arm and right leg.
Clark is seeking actual damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Brent Cordell.
