Parents sue dentist, claim son swallowed dental equipment
A dentist with offices in Houston and Missouri City is being sued by the parents of a young boy, who claim that the child swallowed a piece of dental equipment during a dental exam.
Juhlia Nelson and Shayne Nelson, individually and as next friends of Kayne Nelson, a minor, filed a lawsuit on Sept. 30 in the Harris County District Court against Gloria A. Phillips, DDS.
The plaintiffs claim that when an associate of the defendant was performing a procedure on their son, the equipment failed and Kayne Nelson swallowed a piece of the dental instrument.
The plaintiffs are seeking all damages they are entitled to by the court.
The plaintiffs are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Daniel L. Sanders.
