State representative candidate fined $11,500
Ron Reynolds, who will become the first African-American State Representative in Fort Bend County's House District 27 this November, was fined $11,500 for being delinquent in filing campaign finance reports required by the Texas Ethics Commission.
Reynolds won the Democratic nomination of the seat by defeating incumbent Dora Olivo in the primary last March. There is no Republican candidate to oppose him in the upcoming election.
A partner in the Bellaire law firm Brown, Brown & Reynolds P.C., Reynolds earned his bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Texas Southern University and his law degree from Texas Tech University. The former Associate Municipal Judge for The City of Houston is past president of the Houston Lawyers Association and current president of the Missouri City & Fort Bend Branch NAACP.
