James A. Loney went 2 for 4 with one RBI and scored a run in the Los Angeles Dodgers's 7-5 loss at the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday. Loney graduated from Fort Bend Elkins High School.

Loney is a 2002 graduate of Elkins High School where he was a first-team high-school all-American utility player during his senior season in 2002. The Los Angeles Dodgers made him their first-round pick (19th overall) of the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. Loney played in 431 minor league games during his first four professional seasons before making his Major League debut with LA on April 4, 2006. Loney appeared in 96 games for the Dodgers with a .331 batting average, 15 home runs and 67 RBIs to finish sixth in National League rookie of the year voting.
