Loney is a 2002 graduate of Elkins High School where he was a first-team high-school all-American utility player during his senior season in 2002. The Los Angeles Dodgers made him their first-round pick (19th overall) of the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. Loney played in 431 minor league games during his first four professional seasons before making his Major League debut with LA on April 4, 2006. Loney appeared in 96 games for the Dodgers with a .331 batting average, 15 home runs and 67 RBIs to finish sixth in National League rookie of the year voting. Comerota graduated from Hightower High School in 2005 before going on to play four seasons (2007 to 2010) at Rice University. He appeared in 196 games in his career for the Owls posting a batting average of .302 with seven home runs and 101 RBIs. He was drafted in the 18th round (541st overall) off the 2010 Major League Baseball draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Comerota began his pro career in 2010 with Arizona's short-season class A affiliate Yakima of the Northwest League. Carpenter is a 2004 graduate of Elkins High School. He played five seasons (2005 to 2009) of college baseball as Texas Christian University posting a career batting average of .312 with 24 home runs and 159 RBIs. Carpenter hit .349 in 241 at-bats as a sophomore (2006) before receiving a medical redshirt in 2007 after appearing in only eight games. He posted back-to-back 11 home-run seasons in 2008 and 2009, which hit also hit 23 doubles and six triples while hitting .333. Carpenter was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round (399th overall) of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He quickly advanced through the St. Louis system making it to double-A Springfield of the Texas League by the end of 2010, his first full pro season. A 2006 graduate of Kempner High School Lockwood was a college pitcher for four seasons (2007 to 2010) for Texas Christian University. He made 88 outings including 23 stars over four years for the Horned Frogs posting a career record of 22-8 with eight saves and a 3.34 ERA. Lockwood was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 25th round (773rd overall) of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. Colligan is a 2005 graduate of Dulles High School. He went on to play four seasons of Division I college baseball at Texas A&M from 2006 to 2009. As a junior, 2008, Colligan was named a Big XII Conference all-star outfielder after batting .317 with 14 home runs and 39 RBIs. He hit 15 home runs with 45 RBIs as a senior, 2009. Colligan ended his career with a .296 batting average to go along with 42 home runs and 144 RBIs.
