Do you raid your kids' Easter baskets?

I want to wish every one of you a Happy Easter.

For all of you that see this as a day to rob your kids’ baskets and eat the ears off the bunny…more power to you. For all of you that are looking forward to watching your little ones hunt for eggs and produce forever memories…here’s to all of the memories being picture perfect.

For all of you that see this day as representation of the greatest gift ever to mankind…I’m there with you and grateful for a gift that can never be repaid.

For all of us in that in between period of kids too old to hunt eggs and no grandkids, (NOT a hint to my kids to produce any yet), I hope you enjoy this day too.

I see our day as panning out very interestingly. My oldest, Courtney, is bringing home a boy. We have met him and so far he passes the overall test of making my girl happy, respecting her, and commanding respect from her.

The interesting part will be showing him off to the family in Beaumont when we go to the Beaumont Country Club for our Easter lunch.

I think he will pass muster here too. I’m waiting to see how the Easter egg hunt at Mimmie’s house goes afterwards.

Mimmie recently was pronounced clean of large B-cell aggressive lymphoma cancer. I tell you this because I could not be happier under any circumstances to have heard this.

It took every ounce of her energy to fight this monster and I think having grandkids helped her resolve. When Christmas came around at the end of last year Mimmie had so little energy that I know she was busy making memories but could not really enjoy the shopping process, of which she has reached the level of professional.

This Easter she is trying to make up for it some. I have received no less than three phone calls on the “little things” she is picking up for the kids.

She is actually doing an egg hunt for them, mind you they range in age from 11 to 19 years old.

I say, “Go for it, Mim!” and here’s to a hundred more Easters like it. I’m so glad to have you. I’m waiting to judge the boy that Courtney likes by his reaction to when my son, who is as conservative and mainstream as they come, receives one of his gifts-a skull with sunken, flashing eyes.

If Courtney’s boyfriend can keep a straight face and find something nice to say then he gets to be a keeper (as long as Courtney says).

    I'm guilty!

Those innocent lil' peeps... just sitting there all alone... nobody around nobody will know!

    Altruistic act

One way I think of it is to believe I am helping the kids out...they don't need all that sugar anyway!

Kids know how exciting the game hunt for Easter eggs

Kids know how exciting the game hunt for Easter eggs is!Considering that Easter is almost here, some people might ponder how to properly make hard boiled eggs, whether for Easter eggs or just to make them. It is not difficult - you will need a pot, a lid, and eggs. Cover eggs within the pot with cold water, and bring to a boil - when the water is boiling, cover tight with the lid and remove them from heat. Small eggs sit for 12, medium for 15, extra large for 18 minutes. For making deviled eggs, after you've removed them from the shell, slice lengthwise, scoop out the yolks, blend yolks with whatever spices you wish, and add the mixture to the white part. No payday advances needed for a cookbook.

    I never suspected

I never suspected whet this problem has reach that level O_o !!! Thank you for bringing that topic to the public attention. If you don't mind I will use your ideas in my research paper for the collage acceptance...

This is my own thesis ;)
