Riverstone opens homes weekends in March

(Sugar Land, TX – March 16, 2010) With low interest rates, the home buyer tax credit and builder incentives piquing buyer interest, Riverstone has decided to open all of its more than 20 completed and under-construction homes during its Spring Open Homes Extravaganza, slated for weekends in March.

Available homes in Riverstone will be open to tempt homebuyers, with properties ranging in price from the $200,000s to the millions. Prospective buyers can tour the homes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays during March, as well as noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Visitors also can become more familiar with Riverstone, which is noted for luxurious homes in a landscape accented by 250 acres of lakes and waterways and plentiful green space.

“There has never been a better time to buy, especially considering low mortgage interest rates and the extended federal home buyer tax credit,” said Tom Wilcox, Riverstone’s general manager. “And in addition to the tax credit savings, builders are also offering an array of buyer incentives.”

A community noted for its many water features, Riverstone has a diverse offering of homes, including The Manors townhomes by custom builder Westport, patio homes by Darling Homes and properties priced from the $200,000s to $400,000s by builders Ashton Woods Homes, Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, Trendmaker Homes and Westin Homes. Custom builders are Bayou Bend Homes, Christopher Sims Homes, Peterson Homebuilders, Sterling Classic and Westport.

A 3,700-acre community, Riverstone is slated for 6,000 homes during the next eight years. Residents enjoy impressive amenities, with two resort-style swimming complexes, a fishing pier, miles of trails and pedestrian walkways, the area’s first “bark park,” and more than 250 acres of lakes and waterways.

Riverstone is conveniently located at Highway 6, three miles south of U.S. 59, and offers easy access to several major thoroughfares, including the Fort Bend Parkway. Abundant dining and shopping choices are just minutes away, including First Colony’s booming Town Center.
