The court fight over Missouri City’s Quail Valley golf course has been postponed yet again.
City officials were informed Monday that County Court at Law No. 4 Judge R. H. "Sandy" Bielstein is ill.
The case involves the city’s 2008 takeover of the nearly 400-acre property via eminent domain. Since then, the city has been spending tax dollars to operate the property as a municipal golf course.
Plaintiff Quail Valley Country Club, the previous owner, contends the city improperly condemned the property and should pay more than the $3.1 million value established by special commissioners.
The case, which was set most recently for 1:30 p.m. today, has not yet been given a new date, said City Manager Frank Simpson.

The Mayor's $10 to $20 Boondoggle
Someone needs to explain to me why Missouri City is at spending least $10 but more likely $20 million of public funds to purchase a business that loses $1.0 to $1.5 million per year. Why is this a good deal?
Because they're stupid.
