    Power outage nearly cancels classes

    Gusty winds caused a power outage at Elkins High School this morning that threatened to cause classes to be canceled.

    The power outage at the campus was restored at approximately 9:20 a.m., according to the Fort Bend school district.

    The district was preparing to dismiss students just as it learned the power was restored.
