A little more than a week after people could start seeking spots on the ballot in Sugar Land and Stafford, only incumbents have filed so far.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the following people, all of them incumbents, had submitted the proper paperwork to the city secretary's office:
Sugar Land (Three positions to be decided)
James Thompson (mayor)
Thomas Abraham (at-large position 1)
Jacqueline Baly (at-large position 2)

Councilman Ken Mathew
Councilman Robert Sorbet
Councilman Cecil Willis

Filing started Feb. 8 and continues through March 8. The elections will be held May 8.
