The Foster High School band in the Lamar school district is sponsoring a 3.1-mile run/walk on Jan. 30, starting at the school at 4400 FM 723.
The 5K Falcon Flight will start in front of the athletic field, wind through Pecan Creek subdivision and finish on the high school track.
Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Prizes will be awarded to top overall finishers as well as the top three in nine age groups, plus special prizes for Foster students. All entrants receive T-shirts.
Early entry fee is $20 for adults, $18 for ages 17 and younger and $25 on race day.

Denise Moore, event chairwoman, said this is the fourth year for the fundraiser, which usually attracts more than 100 participants.
"I'm hoping to have over a hundred this year," she said.
Debbi Briggs, who is helping with publicity for the fundraiser, said funds are used to for competitions and uniforms.
