Registration for free ESL classes for adults will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 at Parkway United Methodist Church, 5050 New Territory Blvd. in the Sugar Land area.
Class will begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 25 in Room 245 at the church.
The Literacy Council of Fort Bend County also will offer daytime ESL and citizenship classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m., starting Jan. 26 at the same location.
Proof of current address (current driver's license or utility bill) is required at the time of registration.
People unable to attend the Jan. 11 registration also may register at council’s office at 12530 Emily Court in Sugar Land. The office is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Students currently attending class at the council office may transfer to the New Territory site without charge. Class space is limited.

Do you have any information on other classes of the kind? I am sure the first class subscriptions were overwhelming; a lot of adults in the area need to know English but lack the initiative or can’t afford to take an English class. I am especially interested in esl pronunciation classes. Thank you!
