Fort Bend County has quite a number of places to eat out. The best part, of course, is usually the dessert.
I've found that one of my favorite desserts in the entire county is made at a small place in downtown Rosenberg called Another Time Soda Fountain, 800 Third St., right across the street from the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.
The dessert - called a lime cooler - is actually quite simplistic in its ingredients. All it takes is two scoops of lime sherbet and 7-up.
I know, I know. I could probably make it myself at home and save a bit of money in the process. But there's something about the atmosphere at Another Time, as well as the tall glasses the dessert is served in that makes it taste better, especially on a hot day.
So, what's your favorite place to get a dessert in Fort Bend County? And what is that dessert?

Best place to get dessert in Fort Bend County
There's a great place in downtown Fulshear with super desserts! In addition to their sandwiches and smoothies,Essence House Cafe,8506 FM 359 South, has a great selection of pastries, cakes and pies that you might not expect to find in a small town. I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite - maybe the cream tart with a butter crust topped with kiwi, strawberries and pomegranate.
I try something different every time I go, and there's always something new. In addition to the tried-and-true favorites - tiramisu, tres leches cake, cheesecake and more - they have an ever-changing variety of pastries. The friendly, attentive staff will describe them in detail when I point and ask, "What's that?". Several times I've gotten home with my purchase and found an extra cookie or muffin tucked in as lagniappe! It's nice to have such a special place so close to home.
